THINGS THAT DRAGS US DOWN

1. Having a bad job, gosh I know this and I’m sure so of us could relate to this.
Remember waking up in the morning asking ourselves do I want this for my future
and most of all hating and dragging ourselves to work.

2. Being and feeling fat and ugly. I don’t know but when I put on weight , I mean
overweight I always though how ugly I am in front of the mirror. How much my face
fills up the mirror space, how much I unappealing i am in those jeans and shirts. I
remember passing by a mirror in a shopping mall and commenting how hideous
was that man that just walks by without realizing that I was actually looking at
myself.

3. Having a bad boss. This is another relatable experience, having a bad boss that’s
boring, unapproachable, uninspiring and most of all a womanizer that only would
react if you have big boobs and downward opening.

4. Having financial problems. I been there, having to collect every single penny in
your pocket and thinking how lucky I am if I could strike lottery.

5. Feeling old and unwanted. I haven’t been there but when I mum retired from
work , she felt so old ,unworthy and unwanted. How extra sensitive she was with
every single comment comes from anybody’s mouth but now after a few years she
finally subside and the matter doesn’t really occur anymore.

6. Being betrayed. This is either by our own family members or very close friends
because it doesn’t hurt as much from the person we didn’t care.

7. Being alone and single. This is a mid crisis dilemma for all of you single people out
there. You just couldn’t find someone you really like. Sometimes with the high
expectation and the present married situation around us we opted to stay single but
then we are alone it tends to get lonely and that terrifies us.

8. Need to up some of yours here.

HOW MUCH DO WE NEED

Have we ever ask ourselves “ How much do we really need” and morally we would say just enough but is enough … enough.?

I was in a dilemma lately of wanting to buy a new knapsack and a toil bag for my Europe holiday. Yap…. The bag I bought just a year ago from Phuket snap and to me it is still usable but then I thought would it be sheik if I could have a brand new backpack on my trip to London.

Then I went for my bag hunting in all the departmental store in Bintulu, only to find that all their bags are not only hideous but also very expensive. Then finally I went to this new departmental store and find a generally nice looking and cheap travelling bag, but then I have this voice keep on pestering my head asking “ Do you really need this”.

The finally its pay day and I drag a friend to the store and ask for his opinion on the bag and without dismay he told me that its not worthy to buy because not only that the bag is still considered expensive but its also not that practical because the compartment space is so limited.

So…. I after thinking about it , then I realize the voice on my head is practically telling me something but I didn’t want to listen. I was too naïve and focus of my needs and craving that the question of “ Do I really need it” doesn’t really occurs inside my mind.

Sometimes we are too consumed with having a lot of things, without us thinking how much do we really need it. Instead we could save more and make do with the things that we have. How in the third world people are starving of hunger and here we are shopping lavishly without even thinking one minute.

Ok, back to my story.. I finally didn’t buy the travelling bag but instead went back home and stitch my one year old knapsack bag and its as good as brand new. It felt good but most of all it made the voice inside my head stopped and I pride myself for thinking twice before buying things. So from now onwards whenever we want to buy things , think again and ask ourselves “ Do we really need it and How much do we really need it “. Listen to the voice in your head and see how much pride you have for what you stand for, and look on the bright side at least you still got the money you’re about to spent.

47 DAYS TO COME

Another 47 days to go. I counting my days for my big holiday. Oh ya you know what i'm going to do during my holidays. I gonna start my days like the documentary from Astro channel 11, the travelling channel but the problem is i dont have a V.cam and another thing is i don't like looking at my face and listening to my voice on cam. Ha Ha Ha talking about loving yourself kan.

I called Hendrico the while back and he told me that adik dia ada Camera and my sister kat UK pun ada jugak. So kira kalau amik documentary ni, dari setiap anglelah ni hehehe. So far i furnish myself but the problem is i dont have a bag yet tapi ingat ingat nak pakai beg yang lama tu je. The bag i bought in Phuket.

Maybe this weekend I am going to Miri for the Merdeka holiday. Boring pulak di Bintulu ni. Maybe buy myself a bag in Miri sebab kat sana alot of choices and ada bargain sale. As for working is concern, i am okay. Lots of things are ahead of schedule and none urgent matters. Its just that i cant wait.

ditegur daripada orang yang lebih arif dan mengambil berat atas diri kita.

People Do Change

Sometimes when you think how people are so rigid with their lives and that no other power in the world that could ever change a person, then suddenly he/she change. Sometimes its either just a typical male chauvinist or that person is just a totally pig ass person.

But deep in my heart and in some cases it does happen that people change. It’s either for the better or for the worst. I had an experience with a friend my senior when I was in secondary school, this guy was in his last year ( 2nd year form 6). Now this person is those people who you would see going to the mosque all day long , having a tasbih ( a muslim rosary) all the time in his hand and looking at him mumbling something while his hands is going trough the beads. All of us was in Awe with him of how committed his was with God.

The after few years gone and there I was working in an Oil Palm and Cocoa plantation in Tawau. I was in my Second year of Cadetship and then I heard this particular name , newly engage by the company. The name sounds familiar, so familiar but I couldn’t get my hands to who this person was. Then I finally met him during this event. Oil Palm Estates normally have this annual event every year to commemorate the year passed and there I saw this one particular person. He was kind of familiar, but the difference was the tanned skin resulted of working to long in the sun. I smiled at him and after talking and introducing myself to him, I confirmed that he was the same guy back during my secondary school.

One thing that struck me was the way he dressed. This is the guy who used to wear the Jubah ( sort of like this long dress the Arabs use to wear) and suddenly at school all day long and suddenly was on T-shirt and jeans. Looking so haggard and unorganized. The worst was he was a chain smoker and talking so loud about the experiences with girls. Gosh what a train rack. I also gathered so information that he does drugs as well.

How does a man full of belief and focus could divert into this man full of anguish and pain. A riddle come to my mind maybe he gone through a phase in life or its just a shelter he put up of being hurt in his lifetime or maybe he mixed with the wrong crowd.

I guess for me, I change as well, but I change for the better ( I hope) he he . Becoming a whole person I was not before. I tried to evolve to this person full of life and gratitude of of the world. Thanking God for every little things God presented to me although something felt selfish but I am internally grateful. The only thing we got to remember is to believe in ourselves and not to lose ground. Always be grounded and learn through our mistakes, and pray that god guided us everyday to serve him well.

The visit ( BOD) Board of Directors

Well the visit was okay and me and Carlina was slightly praised with our presentation ... tapi yang suwei nye , punyelah, the preparation is like 2 weeks and kerja bagai nak rak, then they came for like 1 and a half hour and gone just like that. The 2 long weeks of preparing and hard work was not really noted .. i guess the only thing that this people are concern is that how confident are you in elaborating about your area.
I made a few presentation for these people before and by the end of your long and precise presentation , they just keep quiet and smile, but for me its good at least i am well prepared.
From now onwards i can start concentrating on my holiday to UK and Europe. Baru je tengok sites to the red light district in Amsterdam tadi. Can't waitlah, Mesti seronok tengok benda yang kita tak nampak di Mesia kan.
I remember when i went to Manila in 1991 i was amaze with the culture and the people and when i made my second visit last year April 2006, i was in awe..... betapalah berbeza sangat Phillipines tu dengan malaysia. But after my second visit, i realize that no matter how nice and different Phillipines is, Malaysia is still where my heard is. I remember on my last day in Manila i was so bored and 100% willing to go back to Malaysia.
On my last day in Manila , the people there are celebrating Good Friday and most of the people are heading back to their hometown and Gosh the bus is full. Guys if you are going to Manila please dont go on April because not only that its so Hotttttttttt.. and its nearly the Good Friday holiday so its kinda hard to go around with the public transport.
Sudahlah Clark international airport tu jauh dari Manila, then pulak masa tu, semua orang balik kampung. I remember queing up and still couldn't buy the ticket.. So next time if you are going travelling, really-really plan your visit. Especially if you are travelling alone. But overall i would say that manila is fair. Travelling and the food, and if you ask me to visit manila again, i would but this time i came with my family or friends.
My last holiday that was last year to Phuket Thailand was one of the most memorable holidays i had , because i went along with Fazila. At least things are a lot cheaper but most of all , i went with a friend and it was fun. At least nak ambil gambar pun boleh sebab ada orang snap snap, kalau p sorang adussssssss kena amik gambar sorang sorang kan. Punyalah tak best.
I guess this UK holiday will be fun and exciting because not only that i would spend my holiday with my sister, niece and nephew but i got to spend it with my best freind Andy and my friend Carlina. This would be a new sets of experience altogether. Adus lamanye lagi nak raya.......... tak sabar nak p UK.
